Bulletin Announcements — 11/24/19

“This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24)   We sincerely welcome any visitors this morning to Peace Reformed Church.  May you be blessed through the worship of our most High God.

The children’s choir will sing on Sunday, December 1st.  They will also have a practice on Sunday December 8th following the worship service.

On Sunday December 1st, we will be observing the Lord’s Supper.  Members of other churches who hold to the same faith as we concerning the Lord’s Supper ( see Heidelberg Catechism questions 75-82) and who are in good and regular standing with their own congregation, and who have sought permission from Pastor Steve or an elder are invited to partake with us.  There are request forms available on the lectern in the fellowship hall for future Lord’s Supper dates.

Women’s fellowship will meet on Thursday, December 5th at 7 pm.  We will be at Northcrest Nursing Home for hymn singing and devotion.

A list of items needed for Henry County Christmas Cheer baskets is available on the fellowship hall table.  Items will be collected until Sunday, December 8th 2019.

Anyone wishing to donate to families in need for Christmas, please see Lori Drewes by Sunday, December 8th.

We will be having our annual Thanksgiving Eve service this Wednesday November 27th, at 7:30pm.

Our annual Christmas caroling event will be on December 15th.  We will meet together at the church at 5:30pm.

On Saturday, December 7th at 6PM, we will be hosting a family movie night at the church.  Bring your favorite snack  and join us for a screening of “Is Genesis History?”.  The film explores how science, history and the Bible connect to the story of creation.  The approximate run time of the film is 1 hour and 40 minutes.

2 Corinthians 4: 7-10, But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.  We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.
